The Heavy-Duty Electric Starter Motor Series is engineered to deliver instant, high-torque cranking to bring diesel engines up to reliable starting speed. Our starters are matched to a full range of diesel engines used in marine propulsion, generator sets and heavy industrial power systems, and custom development is available for specific engine models.

To meet the breakaway resistance of large-displacement, high-horsepower engines, we developed the QD21129, an 11 kW high-output electric starter. It is designed for large engines such as the Mitsubishi S16R and Shanghai Mitsubishi (SMR) heavy diesel engines, and can start them with a single starter in place of a twin-starter arrangement.
