Uses
  1. Nitrocellulose with high nitrogen content (commonly known as guncotton) is used to manufacture smokeless powder;Nitrocellulose with low nitrogen content (commonly known as collodion cotton) is employed in producing lacquers, artificial leather, photographic film, plastics, and related products.
  2. Used in stationery manufacturing, daily consumer goods, and instrument labeling systems.
  3. Used in printing inks, leather processing, nitrocellulose lacquers, sealing caps for bottles, and stencil papers for typewriters.
  4. Used in the pharmaceutical industry, for photographic base films, camera negatives, and leather tanning processes.
  5. Used as an embedding agent in microtechniques, for biological tissue sectioning, and as an adhesive binder in the electronics industry.
