- Feedstock:Â For melamine, barbiturates, hydrazine, some plastics, and flame retardants.
- Cosmetics & Skincare:Â Moisturizing agent (keratolytic properties) in lotions, creams, and dermatological treatments (e.g., for eczema, psoriasis).
- Laboratory & Medical:Â Denaturing agent for proteins, osmotic diuretic (historically), stabilizer in vaccines.
